What levels of cover are available for EVs?

The same three as petrol cars: Third-Party Only, Third-Party, Fire & Theft, and Comprehensive. Battery and own-vehicle damage cover sit under Comprehensive.

Yes. Damage to your EV battery caused by an accident is covered.

Can my EV be repaired at your workshops?

Yes. DirectAsia's select approved Authorised EV Workshops can repair electric vehicles, and the Lifetime Repair Guarantee applies to the repaired parts for as long as the vehicle stays continuously insured with DirectAsia.

What if my EV breaks down?

With the optional 24-Hour Breakdown Assistance, call 6532 1818 (Singapore) or +65 6991 3555 (overseas). Your policy covers a reasonable cost for labour and towing.

Who can buy DirectAsia EV insurance?

You must be the registered owner. The main driver must be aged 20 to 70. The EV must be a selected make and model, up to 10 years old.

What is NCD60?

No Claim Discount runs up to 60%. DirectAsia's NCD60 gives an extra 10% for drivers who have held NCD50 for at least 5 consecutive years.
