When you rent a car overseas, the rental company’s insurance often covers damage - but leaves you responsible for a high excess and additional fees.

RoadPlus+ is an excess protection product that reimburses these out-of-pocket charges if something goes wrong during your rental, such as:

- Rental Excess Charges: Covers the deductible you are required to pay after damage or loss.

Vehicle Damage & Repairs

RoadPlus+ works alongside your rental coverage - it does not replace it.
During Your Rental

If damage, theft, or an incident occurs during your rental:

- Follow the rental company’s procedures
- Pay any excess charges or fees imposed by the rental provider

RoadPlus+ is designed to protect you from the financial impact of these charges.
After You Return

Claim Locally & Get Reimbursed within 10 Business Days*.

Submit your claim after your trip with supporting documents. Your claim is handled locally in Singapore.

Eligible excess charges and covered fees are reimbursed, up to the policy limit of SGD $10,000 (Maximum 1 claim per policy).

What makes RoadPlus+ different?

When you rent a car overseas, rental companies often only offer Basic Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or similar coverage, which typically only covers damage to the vehicle but leaves you with a high excess charges or deductible. With RoadPlus+, we cover the excess charge and related fees, ensuring you’re not stuck with large bills if something goes wrong.

Is there a policy limit?

There is a limit of maximum 1 claim, up to $10,000 per policy.

What do I require to qualify for RoadPlus+?

  • You must be between nineteen (19) and ninety-nine (99) years of age.
  • You must be the primary renter/hirer, and the Rental Agreement must be signed by the Insured.
  • The Rental Agreement must include details of all additional drivers who are authorised to operate the Rental Vehicle.
  • You and any additional driver must not have breached any term or condition of the Rental Agreement.
  • You and any additional driver must hold a valid Singapore driving license and international driving permit (if required) approved and recognised by the relevant local authorities.
  • You must have purchased at least the basic Collision Damage Waiver (“CDW”) option offered by the Rental Company.
  • You and any additional driver must take reasonable care to protect the Rental Vehicle from loss or damage and to avoid any accident, collision, or other event that may give rise to a claim.
  • Coverage is limited to one Rental Vehicle per Rental Agreement per Trip, except if Your Rental Vehicle has been replaced by the Rental Company.

Does RoadPlus+ cover multiple rentals within the policy period?

Yes! This annual cover protects all your trips travelled within the policy period. In the case where a claim is made, you can reinstate the policy for another term.

Do I need to pay the excess upfront before making a claim?
